• Using blueprints, charts, sample parts, and technical drawings to best decide how to proceed with machining operations

• Measuring, laying out work pieces, and calculating dimensions and tolerances

• Operating and monitoring a variety of machining tools such as CNC machines

• Confirming product accuracy by verifying dimensions using precision measuring instruments

• Setting up program machine tools for use by machining tool operators
